I don’t think we got a lot of rain but it drizzled all day long. A nice slow soak. I’m certain the ovoids are loving it.

Picking them in the rain is the trick!  They're slimy & hard to pick properly + the mosquitoes are brutal.

Man I'd love to find giant patches like that in the DMV area. If 95 didn't suck so bad I'd go every weekend.

Few morning guys something else mixed in... Can anyone help with what is?

Still scouting new locations and I think i found more good places.  Not expecting ovoids yet but I saw some mushroom like things today and the first dryad saddle sprouts(which seem later than last year?)

I decided to flip a medium size piece of wood or two in or near debris piles and saw active mycelium.  It smelled like cubensis mycelium not that really means anything tho, but heres to hoping it is ovoid =D.

JayBob nice finds! Hit me up on DM. Maybe we can connect at some point this season.  I had a hunch about a spot I found later in the season last year. I thought for sure it would fruit before anything else in my area. Only problem is it is a bitch to get to you. When I got there this morning and lo and behold I found my first fruits less than five minutes from my house.  It was fun hanging out with relic and finding stuff in his neck of the woods a few weeks ago but nothing beats finding stuff in your own spots for the first time in the season. I took some good shots for you guys to drool over. They aren’t huge patches yet but they are damn pretty. Also putting up some habitat porn.

I thought they were found in Greenville and "documented" on here. They weren't in they're natural habitat though. I wish I had enough free time to make a rode trip upstate this week.

Checked out some spots after the rain yesterday. No ovoids but a bunch of these popped up in the woodchip roads near the creek here that weren't there yesterday:



I also saw some fresh Galerinas in the chips.

Pic 3 looks to be agrocybe. Not sure what last pic is... Is it the underside of the mushroom in pic 3?

The rest look like ovoids to me.
