Maybe we're all dead
    #3971075 -

I was thinking about close calls with death sometimes. How exactly do we not know that we are all dead as we speak, maybe those close calls are actually not so close, but upon leaving you're put in an alternative world where it was just a close call, and so you keep on being concious, finishing your life in a dream state of sorts. Thoughts? Maybe i'm just feeling guilty for a close call too, but I dunno.

If this is death, then what happens when we "die"? Is that perhaps the beginning of life?

maybe we don't die, we just see others dying around us.

Well, if this is death, then what do we have to fear?

We are not dead if we experience something, even if we did "die" and are now some kind of ghosts living in our minds, what makes this state less "alive" than the previous?

Maybe We're ALL Dead, YET, Forever ALIVE thru LIGHT..... [Re: OldWoodSpecter]
    #3972152 -

I am coming to believe that when we die, as people have said from "near death experiences", that we are faced with a big white light....  So, when we walk into that light, we also become that light to burn brightly onto everything....  Then we get to experience the very essense of EVERYTHING....    All experiences, everybody, all time, forever....    All as one, one as all....  :sun:

That would be the point....  When we all get to end this theater of "reality" we call LIFE....

That's the Poltergeist version of NDE's
In the actual experiences people only have a shot encounter with the light, which embraces them, they see their life and experience it through their eyes and the eyes of others around them, that's some kind of cleaning of the soul. In that state they do not feel everything like the whole universe etc. , just their own existence.
After that they arrive in another reality that feels and looks like our own reality, they percieve it as we percieve our walk on the street. They are "given" new bodies, "spiritual" bodies that have a strange glow, but feel solid like biological bodies.
In that place they have access to anything they would like to know, but one thing at a time, like an enciclopedia. There they meet friends from their life or other forgotten friends from the time before birth (when they were living in this spiritual environment).
They are shown a lot an thaught a lot there, like on a tour, before they return.

such existence is only one step ahead of our own existence, and is not that different.
So accoarding to those experiences death is not some grand finale, the end of search, the end of path and some merging with the universe, on the contrary, it is a begining of a new path. It feels much like our own existence only with incredible lightness and freedom.
It is allso said that the reality, the surroundings are manipulated by the mind, so you can meterialise anything you wish to see or touch.

It is definitivley not an ego loss or becomming god. It is only one step further from our own existence.

I'm just telling you what people say, I don't like to draw any final conclusions. It could be all an illusion, a memory dump of a brain that happens in one second, or whatever, or it could be the real thing. But anyway, that is what people say it is like.

The reality is different for different people, like different winamp skins for the same winamp player. The structure is the same always, yet the senses experience things depending on your personal preferences.

Some see fields with flowers, some see cities of glass and light much like the ones Jesus described, some see doors, rooms, gardens etc.
There is nothing chaotic about it though, it is not like a dream or a trip because it feels consistent and ordered. It actually feels like being in an actual materialistic place, only with unlimited sense of freedom, joy and connection.

There are a lot of interesting ways of communication reported.
From telepathy with other sentient beings, to some kind of strange music communication with glowing flowers.

Well, that was pretty beautiful....!    All of it....    Perhaps that is what it is like to BE the light....(?)
.
.
If we all get new spirit bodies, it sounds like it is going to be like the movie "What Dreams May Come" (with Robin Williams)....  We will have to be tested as to how well we actually "know" the people we "know" without the aid of visual recognition(different spirit faces AND bodies)....  I am thinking "Intuition" is going to play a HUGE roll in finding our family and friends without being able to rely on what they look like....  Well, if all of this is right....

It is said that family and friends are connected with love, and thoughts call them, so you don't need to find them, if you wish for them they will be there because love is like some sort of internet link.
But over there, they are just frineds, no longer father, mother, wife, but friends
