Jumping out of windows
    #376258 -

I think the reason people try to do supernatural things on psychedelics is because we as humans have SOOOOO much more potential than we know. Way more power at our fingertips than we are aware of.

When I hear of people who took acid, and jumped out of the window because they think they can fly, I think it's because humans CAN fly if we enlightened enough, and the acid gave you a PREVIEW of that state of enlightenment. The person just got confused, and thought that he could actually do it, NOW.

Not hardly. It is the same reason that people think they can safely pilot 3000 pound vehicles down the highway after several martinis. It is because you have altered your body's chemistry and disturbed your neuronal pathways causing irrational thoughts.

Exactly!

Ok, that doesn't really change anything that I said.

The irrational thoughts might be because you're tripping in a high state of conciousness, and feel what it would be like to be a highly evolved person who can levitate.

No?

Well then i'm all turned around on the subject

I thought that MAYBE acid is a gateway to the unconcious mind, which might hold the truth(we're God), and if someone thought that they could fly it was because they forgot that they aren't highly evolved yet, and only on LSD.

The human body cannot fly. Its not built for flight, but the human consciousness can fly. When you are on acid you can forget that there is a difference between body and mind, or matter and energy. Its just that, your brain gets confused and forgets that it can't fly.

I think it's possible that we can do things that we consider impossible if we had achieved "Christ conciousness".
Our conciousness could manipulate matter to the point that we could fly or move things or read minds.

That's just my belief.

I beleive that if you were to reach your ful potential then you could indeed manipulate matter or read minds. I just don't think acid is any window into that state, other states of mind maybe, but I just don't think its a window into matter manipulation.
