Sup guys.
I'm on my first attempt cultivating shrooms and I need some help. Hope it isn't a problem to post herencia looking for it.

Started this journey on Nov 11th with some White Lotus, did spawn to bulk on dec 3rd on a monotub with coco-verm sub with a pseudocasing on top.
Been following (to the best of my newbie skills) Hitchhikers Guide and the surface conditions promot3d by this post.

When spawned I kept double micropore layer on bottom holes and single layer on top ones. Had to mist maybe once in there 2 weeks, as it always had droplets. About 3 days ago, tore down some of the micropore tape of the top holes (now it has 2/3rds covered)

Yesterday it was like this:

I misted the edges because they seemed dry to me (fluffier too?).

This was today at 6am:

Since I think it's fully colonized I tried giving it some more air so I cracked? the lid (I don't know the proper word for it), went to work and came home to this (6pm today):

(This is how it's setup now)

So good and bad news:
I think it dried too much on the edges because of the bruising and well, lack of droplets.

Exhibits A ad B:

On the other hand, got my first pins!!so I'm kinda excited too.

So, I'm still trying to dial in the surface conditions and would pretty much appreciate advice to not mess it up.

Gonna try to mist the edges and hope I don't drown it :c

Should I dial it down on the FAE and close the lid (unlatched)?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Set and forget is key. Misting this early on is asking for surface conditions to get thrown off even further.

Everywhere that doesn’t have little droplets in your tub look to me to be too wet, not too dry.  Or at least went through a phase of being too wet and is matted now.

I’d just close the lid and stop misting if I were in your shoes

Now that I remember it could've been too wet at some point. It was condensating a lot on the sides of the tub maybe 5 days ago so I tilted the tub to drain it. Haven't been misting so far (except maybe 2 times before today). Since the bruising started now, will definitely try to go back to what I was doing: Closed lid, no misting.

Thanks.

(Gonna keep reading for more input if anyone wants to chime in).

Thanks!

I think I had read part of it (Went and finished it now).

As I just told Psicomb, for now I'm gonna revert to what I was doing up until 2 days ago (closed lid, unlatched, no misting) and see how it responds to that. Gonna go yo your post and make a follow up question anyway .
