I've always used the kind of dispenser with a sliding cutter. That makes it very easy to get 1-inch-wide strips that pretty much lie flat on the box after you cut them. It's then easy to pick them up and wrap dishes with them, even with nitrile-gloved hands. Another benefit is that it doesn't leave so much static charge on the film.

The link is to a Kirkland/Costco product, but I bet there are other brands and sources with a similar package.

Yes they have the same thing with Great Value brand at walmart, my wife always asks for it on the list.

Friggin nice idea if you use wrap but parafilm gang 4lyf.

GladWrap Gang representin! I just use a sharp knife and cut off a 1" roll. Maybe it should be specified that you're supposed to use the angled side of the blade, not the flat back of it :loldongs: I really don't know why everyone struggles with it. It takes me a minute or so per cut and they're clean. I am curious about those PVC cutters though since I don't like abusing my nice kitchen knives. Maybe next time I'm at BigBoxDepot I'll pick on up

Dude that sounds terrible for someone with zero dexterity like me , but I might give it a try :laugh:. I have used 30mm grafting tape, but cling is honestly easier to use when it's cut right.

Fo real. No paper backing to peel off, no scissors, plus it never rips like a cheap condom which is what is so aggravating about parafilm. I was a parafilm guy for years, but finally gave the cling wrap a go and I will never look back. Cutting the roll up sucks, not gonna lie. Gots to have you a sharp knife. Buuuttt, that one mega roll is good for 2+ cases of petris, so worth the effort. That and it’s about $5.

Yeah the the best thing about cling is that you can grab the dish very softly. With parafilm i fee like you have to grip the dish pretty strongly. I always pour my plates pretty thicc, so when I'd press on the middle of the dish, the lid goes down, the transfer gets stuck to the lid and lifts up and that shit makes me FURIOUS. But a badly cut cling roll is maybe even more infuriating i have to say.

I like them a lot. Walmart as them near the paper plates.  I like that I can write around the rim and it doesn't disrupt any of the view.

All the other ones have that jagged edge all the way around.  No beuno!

Did my first pour with the new hood. I'm surprised how clear they are. They've been sitting for around 5 days and i don't see any contam yet so hopefully they'll be good to go Saturday.
