Agar and the global economy

Hello all i had been using premade nutrient agar
but now that i have 24 glass Petri dishes i wanted to just get some
plain non nutrient agar powder or flakes to make my own as i need it and with different receipts , however there seems to be a huge swing in the price, with the mushroom sites charging the most  :mad2:
where do those who buy non nutrient agar recommend to buy it.
and is the flakes as good as the powder,
