If you mean he supports challenging the election results, then your "friend" is smarter than you realize. You're the one who has turned to ignorance and refuses to see the truth. This election was stolen, and nothing can change that fact, even if Biden takes office. He will merely be a puppet who has taken power via what is essentially a coup organized by the various factions backing him, all of whom stand to gain much power.

Trump always planned to claim this if he lost, just as he did when he lost the popular vote in 2016 and claimed he won it. Actual large scale fraud not required, just an audience primed to believe his bullshit. Unfortunately for him though, even courts he stacked personally were not such an audience.

the south is hardly the backbone of the US economy, with the exception of Texas it would largely unproductive and impoverished without the rest of the country to prop it up

Bipartisan confirmation? Please. Mitch McConnell is folding because he is a typical career establishment politician that doesn't have the guts to fight.

None of the traditional GOP party does.

Which is why the Republican party is now officially dead. The millions of people who supported Trump will not forget this betrayal. Time for a new political party, which has the interests of the people at heart to take Root and capture Trump's base as well as all the independents and free thinkers who supported him.

Yeah a new more extreme party that attracts a subset of current Republicans and drives moderates out, that should solve their problems getting people to vote for their presidential candidates. A Republican presidential candidate has won the popular vote just once so far this century, GWB's second term.

Why would it have to be more extreme? America clearly needs a new party which represents the will of the people. Neither the Republican nor the Democratic party fit that bill - they are both corrupt, self-serving parties that serve the corporations and not the People.

I absolutely support challenging election results (when there's evidence to support doing so), but my friend never even said those words, nor indicated that's what Trump was doing. You are just saying words to please yourself.

That's not how reality works. See, I'm pretty sure that the election was not stolen. But if new evidence were to surface, or a new court case, that is something that might 'change that fact' for me.

Repeating something over and over doesn't make it true. 60 loses in court make it pretty clear that claims of fraud were bullshit.

While I haven't seen clear evidence of fraud, what I've seen in many cases is something along the lines of a great many people complaining that they weren't allowed to watch the counting process, and then when asked if they had proof of fraud they said "no, I wasn't allowed to watch the process", and since they said "no", the cases were tossed.  Or cases were tossed because the courts said they didn't have jurisdiction.  So they didn't get tossed because we know there wasn't cheating, they got tossed because it couldn't be proven that there was cheating.  :shrug:

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Were the people doing the counting all Democrats?
Georgia was recounted 3 times, nothing changed, Wisconsin was recounted and Biden's margin improved.
80 judges saw zero merit in any of the claims :shrug:

It's been 4 years since hearing a U.S. President talk, you know, like properly.

Trump encouraged his voters to be election watchers. Crowds of trump supporters showed up for the counting, and most of them were not allowed to observe because there were already watchers. The law says candidates CAN have representatives observing. There is no law that says everyone who wants to watch ca. Conversely, there is no requirement that counting cannot continue without public observers.

Trump's team is the one making outrageous claims. It is on them to prove those claims. They went to court, they lost. There doesn't have to be an instance where the court affirmatively disproves their claims. 
To do so would be for me to insist that you have to believe in the sky unicorn with me until you're able to prove its non-existence.
