It seems the trump crowd claims his statements which confirm their world views
are genuine, and statements that cause cognitive dissonance in them are trolls or natural human errors. 


Ultimately we shouldn't assume our judgments about what people say have any truth or meaning. But that's difficult to do because it goes against our judgmental nature.

Trump is not reserved in the least at calling out people who are accused of crimes. Fuck just two weeks ago he was tweeting out FBI wanted posters, but the one person nearly everyone right and left can agree is a total lowlife pedo scumbag, he wishes well? Seriously. 🤦‍♂️

I do. His ego rules him. While he says endless retarded shit, he's only mildly retarded (rhetorically speaking, or well his rhetoric is fully retarded but his mental state mildly so), but he's let his ego take over and seems to believe that he's so great people will believe everything he says. That's lead him down a path where he will talk just to convince himself that he sounds smart. Meanwhile everybody (almost everybody) listens in bewilderment.

In my opinion, the smartest people are wiling to admit ignorance. While the laziest "intellectuals" will continue to talk even even when they are full of it. There's a thread with many fast responses going on here in the politics forum that is a nice example of such behavior.

It is a neutral statement.  People say "I wish (so and so) well" about people they don't care for all the time.  It's often used when you DON'T care for someone, but I won't push that because that's not always the case.

He said it twice.  He's the top official of the executive branch. People under him are literally the ones who investigated and are prosecuting her. Imagine if your boss announced that he/she is rooting for you to fail.

If she does well, the prosecution fails. If the prosecution succeeds, she won't do well. His comment is the same as wishing his subordinates would fail.
