He defends the right for the same reasons I sometimes do.  If someone said "we can't elect Trump because he colluded with Putin", Jimmy would respond, "well, we don't know that he did, but we can't elect Trump for a whole shitload of other reasons".  Maybe he's too honest?

I'll look up what he's done with Sam Harris that you find offensive (or you can tell me because I gotta run to Universal Studios for the night), because that doesn't ring a bell.  Could it be agreeing with a point that Sam was correct about (similar to how I agree with some points Tucker Carlson is right about)?

Anyone who sees that headline without watching or watching carefully, is likely to think that Pelosi said that words. It’s borderline libelous.

the idea that they are too dumb is bullshit, yes.

The idea that Pelosi and others are deploying this narrative to depress the progressive agenda is not.

We literally have polling and election results that prove a progressive agenda can win in the Midwest. So is Pelosi just too stupid to know that? Or is she deliberately misleading the public to temper their support of policies that would harm Pelosi’s donors? Which do you think is more likely the case?

I was very clear that I was quoting a hypothetical conversation:

If someone said "we can't elect Trump because he colluded with Putin", Jimmy would respond, "well, we don't know that he did, but we can't elect Trump for a whole shitload of other reasons".

If trump didn’t collude with Russia then why was his boy Stone threatening to kill a witness in the Russian  collusion investigation ? Seems like a really unnecessary thing to do when your innocent .

The thuggery continues with stone. Right wing sites have outted a juror in the case, even after the judge warned against it. Alex Jones did it on air. Outright juror intimidation and tampering. It’s unbelievable the depths these people stoop to. These are serious federal crimes

Trump and some GOP politicians and right wing media are openly engaging in harassment and intimidation of the whistleblower. His anonymity is protected by law. Rand Paul retweeted an article that outed the whistleblower from his fucking senate account. They are openly violating the law everyday with this shit.

Yeah and I’m not sure why because I’ve explained a few times what the goal of that talking point is. Perhaps Pelosi herself don’t think Midwesterners are stupid, but she’s trying to convince others that they are, so she only thinks those people are stupid? Idk. It all reeks of despotism I don’t care how it’s specifically phrased in YouTube video titles.

But she’s not calling Midwesterners too stupid to vote correctly. People read that video title may not even watch the video. If you watch the video your brain is primed to interpret what she said that way. Come on, be honest if no one told you to think she was calling widwesterners stupid, you wouldn’t think that at all about what she said. You’d think she was doing exactly what she was doing, making the assessment that Medicare for all may not be as popular with the democratic base as it is along the coasts. She may be right. May be wrong. But she wasn’t calling them stupid. If she isn’t for Medicare for all herself, how can you say she thinks people who may not like the idea are stupid ?
