This is pan cyan at 5 days. Jar is almost full of myc. Little gap at the top.
It is super-dense and broken up, ready to go directly into a syringe.

I have been looking at beer LC seems interesting. You always have beer around it seems. Any particular beer?  Silly question but do you think you can use light beer or is the calories needed?

Idk if light beer will make a difference. I looked it up recently bc I'm trying to get my six pack (abs not beer) and it says the difference in calories is mostly from a decrease in alcohol concentration. Alcohol becomes sugars which are calories. So ppl get light beer and then have to drink more of it and take in more calories than if they just drank regular beer. That being said idk. I used 50 ml beer, so theres 2.5 ml alcohol. When I use it on agar I still can get bacteria so I imagine the alcohol is lost in sterilization.

This was 50/50 Miller/water. I wouldn't call it a Tek, it's just something I did bc it was 3am and there was room in the PC. Mostly I like beer for agar. Just something new to stare at while jars colonize.

I usually tic-tac-toe a plate in there. Usually about 6 small wedges. It depends.
I'm using a fresh blade and a sterilized handle. I'll cut up the plate and whatever
I can scoop up in one go makes it to the jar. I don't recommend this...but it's
what I'm doing.

Edit: for cubes I'd just to a single wedge or even Josex poke.

So you inoculate 6 small wedges into a single quart mason jar?

Awesome! that thick growth in 5 days :O.
With only one wedge how long it would
take to achieve these results?

It can be just as fast. Maybe not as thick as that pic, but usable.

I only do the multiple wedges for cyans because I want as much diversity
in the LC as possible.

bought these syringe filters for LC

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJV1LBY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Will they melt on the autoclave at 15 psi?

Edit: I figured this is a pour thread. Sorry OP.

Edit 2: https://www.amazon.com/Microlit-SCIT-60-Bottletop-Dispenser/dp/B07C1VWV1S/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Dispensette%2Bpp&qid=1572229750&sr=8-5&th=1

What do you guys think about that autoclavable dispenser than can be adapted to media bottles? Seems like the holy grail for pouring .

I use media and snapple bottles for LC. Pop the top off and pour, easy and environmentally conscious what with the reusing you kno.

Ive mixed cold and just cant seem to get a solution that is clear enough.  Ive tried the mix it cold and put it in the fridge.  I take it there will always be some sediment.  Im using LME.  What strength do you use grain water at, do you dilute at all?

I just use tap water with LME, it works well enough

1 gram to 500mL

I don't see any pics ther Ed. I actually added some rye flour to a few LC I made. Colonized no problemo despite the cloudiness. They really liked the flour sediments, colonized it on the bottom foremost.
