Oh so I'm not necessarily being advised to do transfers, just to have multiple plates going of the same culture at once. I do have lots others but they weren't as photogenic as this one πŸ˜… thanks for explaining

Touch a sterile loop or needle to the edge of a clean looking area and transfer that to the center of a new plate.

Third flush from the 07/18 GT (MS) cake. Cheese grater tomorrow and off to the riverbank.

There are still two cakes left from this first batch... They might be ready by tomorrow.

My room's lightbulb burned outβ€”hence all the drama. :smile2:

Fid, thank you so much for your kind words. :heart:

What I usually do is slightly adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation. I apply a subtle LUT to minimally unify the color palette across different photos (since I take them at different times of the day), along with a bit of grain. It's so I can make a collage later on.

Either way, I always keep the originals.

Still, I'm miles away from the photos of many fellow members here. I've seen so many stunning photos on the forum. Mine is just amateur workβ€”I hope to improve over time.

Third flush from the 4th and 5th GT cakes (MS), inoculated on 07/18.

As I took the cake out of the fruiting chamber, the mushroom just snapped off under its own weight.

So I'm calling it wrap on this first batch, which helped me break the ice with growing again after a decade. All 5 cakes colonized, gave three flushes, held up great, and I'm not gonna ask for more β€” time to make room for the next round.

Yeah, I'm really happy with it. :laugh:

Outdoor Alaskan caerulescens first fruit and probably only one of this year. Sadly I missed it n it rotted the cap. Stem is woody like because I used woodchip spawn me thinks :coolcat:

Hoping it dropped a spore load tho if not maby itl still be around to fruit next year. Il find out eather way xD

And yes I can id it from stem alone 😭 definitely not gonna eat it tho hmmm... Maby... :boofgirl:
