This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the creation of the world-wide unmoderated Usenet newsgroup alt.drugs.mushrooms.cultivation. This is not a Call for Votes (CFV); you cannot vote at this time. Procedural
details are below.
Newsgroup line:
alt.drugs.mushrooms.cultivation
RATIONALE: alt.drugs.mushrooms.cultivation
While mushrooms are being discussed in newsgroups, there are a number of reasons why cultivation should have a separate newsgroup for discussion on this topic. In some countries, cultivation is illegal, and so the mushroom newsgroups are more often than not first filled with discussion on the legalities of cultivation. This added discussion and noise may be unwanted by regular readers of these other newsgroups. Further, when people are specifically looking to discuss aspects of cultivation, they would be better served by having a seperate newsgroup for such discussion. There is likely enough traffic in these newsgroups and other forums on the internet to warrant having a newsgroup dedicated to this topic.
CHARTER: alt.drugs.mushrooms.cultivation
alt.drugs.mushrooms.cultivation
will be a news group dedicated to the discussion of the legalities, process, recipes, tips, techniques and general exchange of
lore on the process, methods and history of cultivating mushrooms. The above list is not considered exhaustive, and if a discussion is of interest to cultivators it may be deemed as appropriate.
END CHARTER.
PROCEDURE:
This is a request for discussion, not a call for votes. In this phase of the process, any potential problems with the proposed newsgroups should be raised and resolved. The discussion period will continue for a minimum of 21 days (starting from when the first RFD for this proposal is posted to news.announce.newgroups), after which a Call For
Votes (CFV) may be posted by a neutral vote taker if the discussion warrants it. Please do not attempt to vote until this happens.
All discussion of this proposal should be posted to news.groups.
This RFD attempts to comply fully with the Usenet newsgroup creation guidelines outlined in "How to Create a New Usenet Newsgroup" and "How to Format and Submit a New Group Proposal". Please refer to these

I like both, the Shroomery has more info but is harder to read. Just my distorted thoughts. I wish I could put it in my reader and have it threaded.

the few times I have posted in adm i was answered with derision by jerks who didn't even bother to answer the question or acknowledge I had asked a legitamate question. the same questions asked here have been pleasantly answered with respect. this place has the wonderful advantage of no captainmax!!
