I see a problem with a beginner thread, it is that once a cultivator feels they're no longer a beginner they'll move to a dif. thread, and there will be no one around to help out the noobs! Then the noobs will just migrate, to a thread where their questions get answered.
Also I feel like the FAQ is amazing here already, and more emphasis should just be placed on reading everything under the Cultivation FAQ at least.. I saw a suggestion of having to at least browse through the FAQ to become a member, that isn't a bad idea, IMHO.. One thing to keep in mind is that people do make mistakes, or take too many bong hits, and forget everything they read.. I think in most cases this is where the repeat questions come from..
To summarize, I think more emphasis should be placed on reading the FAQ, and using the Search, but otherwise everything seem fine around the Forum to me!

Wow, you brought this one up from the vaults eh?

I don't have time to read all of the posts, but it reminded me of a suggestion I was going to make.

I think it would be good to have an "Outdoors Culivators" forum, and an "Indoors Cultivators" forum.

I just seams there are still a significant number of threads about Outdoor growing, and they usually have to state that in the subject.

The few posts about outdoor cultivation don't warrant an extra discussion forum.
Besides, there is an indoor step(s) to every outdoor cultivation.
And, this thread is 3 years old, most points in it are not up to date any more, as today we DO have a cultivation FAQ
