As soon as we heard the news my wife was banging her head against the wall in the kitchen (she has a history of self-harm).  I couldn't get her to stop.

People have short memories.  The Trump dumpster fire was still warm in 2020. 

A good amount of voters in any given cycle think that "change" is the thing and just want to give the other party (whichever that may be) a crack at it.

I've been too busy to write up a detailed postmortem but maybe this weekend I'll get a chance sometime
