By far the most disturbing thing I’ve had show up in a tub though. I’ll dab some on a plate and see what happens.

Maybe natalensis makes concentrates if you hit it with maggots at the right time :lol:


What if it is active bacteria since it grew out of that? What if you eat it you will trip nutsac AND get a nice dose of penicillin? :awehigh:


Jk, lol I have an experiment shoebox(mix of rustywhyte and atl7) that is growing stones and finally is starting to pin with the cubes but sadly no fruits of atl7 which is what I'm really hoping for :/

Just want you guys to know that I spit on a slide while in my grow room. Looking for fun microscopic stuff and all I saw was cube spores. How's that for FAE? I wonder if I can just be in the room for 20 minuets and spit on a clean plate if it would germinate?

Waking up some plates that been in cold storage for a month n a half. A couple isolates I wish to revisit having grown them out now. One them munching on some food coloring. Also a averies tub that is taking off, better sized fruits this flush, think it was too wet

Yeah I was surprised how thick these Tamps came up considering my first shoebox of atl7 were like toothpicks. I cased them super thinly with jiffy mix and verm.


Last week there was a tiny fly running around this tub. Got rid of it. A few days ago there were three tiny maggots on the wall. Got rid of them.

Now...

Just one of my PE clones I took from a particular tub. All Different phenotypes of multispore SW pe

I have been naming things with 2 letters, and use different combinations for each tub and then I use numbers for the clones taken from a particular tub.

I haven't had much time so PR 1, 2 and 4 cultures are still in the fridge, haven't grown them out yet.

I have a picture somewhere of the PR 3 fruit the clone came from but couldn't find it when I took a quick look


Anyway here's a tub update. I plucked a couple of the mature fat asses but this I will probably harvest completely before work tonight. Well see.

Finally got some ape. One flush but I’ll take it. Couple big toc, some tamp fruits and atl7 stones.



For you guys that know lc, I’m pretty sure there’s a green mold in this one. But wouldn’t it have shown up on the glass where all the myc is growing? There’s a little agar in it to make it thicker so more is sticking when I shake it. I poured two jars like 10 days ago and they both look pretty bad.

10 days you should know for sure, I see recovery from my LC in about 24 hours. After 3 days I know the jar is gonna be clean or its a mess. Im getting 100% colonization in about 7 days from 10cc

you could always streak it on agar and see. What makes you think there is a green mold in there??

Yeah there’s for sure something bad in them I’m just really surprised I’m not seeing green up on the dry myc. I made another one and the filter went bad and it had green floating in it and stuck to the glass overnight.

This one isn’t colonizing well and there’s green spots on the sunflower seeds. But only there. I’ve seen it a few times before and figured it was just from minerals in the water or damaging the shells during shaking because the myc colonized it fine. They did trich out pretty fast though so I’ve been paying a lot more attention and doing a lot of checking the jars with magnifying glass. I noticed the green spots on the seeds like a week ago and this morning noticed they’re bigger and the shells seem to be decomposing which I’ve never seen before.
