Went out for a few hours today expecting to find 100's after the rain we've had, came away with 8 or 9 but still grateful for each of them. Got soaked in the process though, the wind and rain was insane up in the hills.

Quite surprised to find a few at lower altitudes than usual, big ones too, I could practically see my reflection in the first one I found!

A few tips, get to higher ground and work your way down as the season progresses and temperatures drop. Look in areas where there are sheep grazing. Avoid cow fields, they churn up the ground and are unpredictable in their behaviour in my experience.

The main thing you can do is cover as much ground as you can, just keep looking in new areas covering as many miles as you're legs will take you. Get an OS map and look on Google maps to find footpaths running through common land or farms and scope out some potential areas. You will find them eventually, don't give up!

One tip I say is it is good to look on a sunny day. In the afternoon early evening after a sunny day the libs turn beige and stick out and are easy to spot. When they are wet they are brown and blend into the ground and are harder to spot

2 pairs of eyes, 3(ish) hours of searching in the Peaks.
Most were found near trodden paths, with slight gradients and water streaming down, next to Pasteur fields.

50°C in a Fan overn for 2hrs, maybe a little bit long, cracker dry though.
Main issue was how much they stuck to the foil.
Bought some none-stick paper for the next haul though.
I will reduce the time for drying though or stop being cheap and by a dehydrator
