I believe most dehydrators only go to 70C max, and that's the temperature I use and it works well. But just in case yours goes higher, I wouldn't recommend going higher than 70C. Drying times depends on the size of the mushrooms and how many you are drying and will require a bit of experimentation, but I don't think it's possible to overdo it, so start high, check them every half hour or so until they are cracker dry, and adjust your setting down as necessary.

I just stick mine in the boiler cupboard . Dried 135 cracker dry over night. Turned out to be another 4.5g to my stash. This year's better than last year already.

Anyone found anything in the southeast ? My usual spot didn't do well last year (thought just due to the season) this year still nothing yet. Few other species but no libs.

I have been drying mine on top of a cupboard for a 2days, then a radiator blast in a jar for a couple hours, radiator is probably between 60-80degreesC, am I over drying them to the point I could loose way to much psilocybin?

Ive probably collected about 500 this week, hoping I haven’t destroyed them, any help much appreciated, thanks

I'm enjoying my first season, little and often is my strategy. Slip in, slip out without being seen.

In reference to drying, I wanted to share my method perhaps it will help someone out there.
I'm still waiting for a dehydrator to arrive, and time is of the essence if you catch my drift.
I've had success rinsing them in hot water (wtf even are them little bugs lol) blasting them with cool air from a hairdryer in a cullender, prior to a nice 50-60 bake in the oven with the door open. Cracker dry in ~2 hours.
Then stored in a dark cool place with sachets of desiccant.

I'm quite enjoying hunting these little guys, and its becoming more routine, feels as if they're trying to find me at times.
I need to start preparing for the first ever trip, I have a date set and plans in motion to prep, hopefully everything falls into place.

Sounds like you're drying them too slowly if anything.  To preserve the actives you want to get them as dry as possible as quickly as possible after harvesting.  Hence food dehydrator on maximum asap for a good few hours is what I do.

I was always drying them on lowest setting for longer.

wouldn't the heat from either method reduce potency?

Thanks for advice, I may give that a go with my next batch, sooner the better as people are saying.

It's my first season with Libs also, quite enjoying it I must say!
Not sure when I will first take a trip, not even sure how much to take, I've read mixed answers of 15/40 and sometimes more, maybe purchasing some micro scales is best option but I did fancy some this evening so don't have that option!

Same here .... I usually dehydrate at around 35c ... and they done within 8 hours depending on how wet they are  (which is better than 2-3days , and maintains size too ) I also change the trays around halfway through....

^ no need for micro scales (for microgram surely not?) , all could suggest is start low , for libertycaps depending on the size or not , I would start between 25-35 caps to get feel for it , then once you have put feet in , re dose three to 5 days later and increase by how ever many you think , and repeat until you reach a sweet spot....
