um hi all, im living in england (north west) near to the lake district. i havent been picking (liberty caps) before, but from what ive read on these forums, ive highlighted some important thing`s (from what ive read).

Please feel free to correct!!

1. fresh (5am -9am) they are a slimy(sticky) brown colour
2. dried (through weathering etc) they can last all day (9am+) but are a much paler, drier colour
3. both have the "nipple" (duh!!)
4. be able to find them in a variety of fields (to save arguments!)
5. found late sept/october (i.e. now)

and a question,
if i pick a load of what i think are (obviously i`d post them on here 4 double checking) liberty caps, and i eat them (going on 50 caps/person), are there any other lookalikes to p. semilla that cud make me ill? nd 2 what extent?

NE feedback would be great lol.

thanx, rob

Say why don't You just do some research before posting pics of random fungi hoping that some of those will turn out to be active species?

I new to this site.I never knew it existed untill last week.Oregon has to be the best State for Shrooms overall.Come on what other State Can you go pick Libs,Cyans,Azcens,Plus we got Eugene, which has a large number of indoor shroom growers.I was wondering how the Libs are doing around oregon.I havn't been out looking hard yet.I thought this was a lib post,Not a Uk Lib post.Any feed Back would be Great.

jhon, Oregon, be it that it is a great state, is only worthy of honorable mention when it come to a comparison to the Numero Uno of Shrooooomos, Washongton State. We out number you in every catagory pertaining to actives. Washington currently has Beos, Stuntziis, Semies, ect. in full bloom. Eugene by the way is your down fall my friend. If there were so many active growing in Eugene right now your Cube growers wouldnt have time to grow a shroom less potent than the ones you can pick. Please do not be offended by this post as it is not meant to be derrogitory or a slam on Oregon. I am honored to know some of your great minds from there that post on this web site. Maybe a challenge is in order. Two new threads in the Hunting section. Oregon Active and Washington Actives. Lets see who reigns supreme.

I have a question. If the land USED to be farmed for cows...ie...cows free ranged on most of the land...but it's been 20 years since then...would the spores still be hangin' around there or would it have to be new and fresh cow poo???

Thanks!
L

mrflamefighter - i haven't really been hunting in washington yet, but from what it seems like cyans are a lot more prevelant in seattle than they are in any city in oregon. they're still everywhere.. i found a few new patches last year and i live in a small town called coos bay.

i think both states have a shitload of shrooms, many of which people probably have no idea exist. i know around here there's only a few people that pick cyans or even know how to identify them.. and there's so much open land that there's bound to be patches and patches of undisturbed mushroom patches.

and yeah there's a huge amount of indoor cube growers in eugene. i don't know any of them but i know that there's always a ton of them up there and they're really cheap. i'm talking like $75 for an Oscar.

anywho.. what's the word on libs in oregon right now? i haven't been hunting yet but am wondering whether it'd even be worth my time to go check out the fields. it's kinda risky and i've heard of people getting guns pulled on them by the redneck property owners around here.

I'm from Eugene, OR, and one thing we are very very very fond of here is fungus. I know Washington inside out, and believe me, the people here are MUCH more dedicated

Everything is always in stock

But to answer your question, I personally haven't ventured out to go picking yet, but it has been raining pretty heavily, so my guess is that they are all around.

good news! i'll probably get out to the field later today then and start looking around.

so fuck man.. eugene.. hopefully i'll be moving up there within a year. it's a pretty nice town.. not as big as portland, but there's still shows and interesting people and shit to do.

Let's just say Pickard's lab here produced enough for the rest of our lifetime

I ADORE Portland, it's the most unique city I've been in (lived there for 4 years). The culture there is unbelievable - the arts, the people, everything. Lots of good bands, too.

Eugene is a pretty cool, basically one giant hippy-commune lol
I want to move to Astoria, though, I find it very wholesome there, the wildlife and all.

I haven't been to Coos Bay in awhile, hows the weather? hehe, same old same old, huh? Gotta love Oregon, man

yeah same old pretty much.. rainy for one day, cloudy and almost sunny the next, cold, etc. but it's not that bad of a town really, although i wish there was a bigger music scene.

pickard's lab.. rest of out lifetime.. produced.. say, you got AIM or anything else i can talk to you on?
