the giant ducks! they're everywhere man... i think they're really cool actually, it seems like they'd be funny to look at while tripping.
bad boys in eugene? yeah there's a few, but most of 'em are hippies.

aww geuss we hit it up at the wrong time. seems everywhere we went there were lil' homies giving us looks and fingering us. lol, gotta love kids at night in some foreign city.
seriously what is with the ducks? we were actaully really scared about them at the time. it weirded us out for the remaining of the trip. but at least we actually saw them, i love finding out things are real.
im amazed thats a hippie place. i never in a 1000 years woudl of thunk. so im guessing the picking is good there?

yes, there's usually good picking around eugene and in the willamette valley. tons of indoor growers too, so cubes are cheap as fuck.

I'm about to send this thread to the dump and start a new one unless you guys start talking about Libs and your findings.
This post is for Liberty Cap discussion only.
Not ducks. Not college mascots. Not cubensis in Maine. Not anything other than Liberty Cap mushrooms.

haha, I was high as hell when I wrote the post that was here before and I have now decided to erase it long story short: a violent farmer chased me off his land and it was scary

Yo I thought it was still a little early to be finding libs in the north west. Usually the end of Oct. is a great time to go on a trip. Couple questions about libs though. Correct me if I am wrong but libs are not phototropic like cubes right. So is it fairly common to find them in tall grass? And to the people who have much wisdom with libs r you more likely to find them more inland or on the coast. I have not had much luck finding them inland but way more successfull by the coast.

i've always had better luck on the coast, but that's just me. i'm sure there's probably some patches inland they're just harder to find. as far as finding them in the grass, it depends on what you would consider tall grass. i've found them in grass that goes up to my knees before, but nothing higher than that.
and the real reason why i posted, with all due respect to the rules:
FUCK YEAH FLOATER ROCKS

Conditions here in Newfoundland couldn't be better. I checked one of my spots yesterday and the field was blocked! I'm expecting a bumper crop.

Hey guys, I'm from Newfoundland. I was wondering if some of you could help me determine if these following pictures are liberty caps or not. Thanks!

Awesome, another Newfoundlander! Sorry no libs there. When you do find them you'll know that you got them. But it?s always best to take a spore print (dark purple-brown), check for a sticky cap (that is unless they?re really dry), and when you split the cap there will be a thin, slimy membrane (pellicle). No other mushroom on the island shares these characteristics. So get back out there and good luck.

BlackZombie, that last picture was thrown in as a joke.
Gumby, I seem to recall you saying: "So heres the place to post your finds and ask your questions" So, piss off.
Stipe, hows she gettin on?. Haha.. thanks for the help. I thought for sure the first picture was liberty caps, oh well. I've been having troubles finding spots.... I know of some fields but the grass is reallllly long. Will they poke out of the grass or should I be combing through it?
