I dont think I was ever trying to say that women are "playing up" their cramps. Im sure they suck.
I used that as an example because I hear women say "oh, I have really bad menstrual cramps" and I always thought it was like saying "oh, I got my hand cut off way worse than when you got your hand cut off".

But it's not like that. It's more like saying "wow, this utterly debilitating migraine is a lot harder to deal with than that headache I once got from trying to read with someone elses prescription glasses for an few minutes."
