Liberal ideas and their stupidity

I was talking to this liberal democrat yesturday. He was talking about how the democrats helped his family years ago when they were coal miners in west virginia. I asked him about how now they're trying to get the mines closed because they supposedy pollute too much when burning coal or coke. He said they could close the mines and give the miners new jobs working on wind farms like in California. After that I burst out laughing and began to rant about the policies of their Gov Grey Out Davis and how he's ruining California. He said it doesn't matter he'll still get re-elected.

Such an illogical and stupid mentality makes me tired. It's too bad his vote counts just as much as mine.

Keep in mind that drug use is a liberal idea. But then again, many pro-drug liberals claim to be pro-freedom, yet support policies that severly limit everyone's freedom, such as the right to keep and bear arms. And many liberals are against our actions in the Middle East, despite the fact that those actions are preserving our right to live in a safe environment...

I disagree. I think drug use is a freedom issue, not a liberal or conservative issue. In a free country we can own whatever guns we want, put whatever we want in our bodies, and travel anywhere, and work whatever jobs we want(if we're qualified). We're living in a police state. This week some friends of mine were arrested for felony drug manufacture just for growing a few pot plants in the garden hidden in with the tomatoes. The cops that arrested them were probably democrats or republicans, it doesn't matter. Liberal cops will bust your ass just like conservative ones.

Liberals provide you personal freedom. Conservatives dont, cause you are not smart enough for yourself conservative policy.

I find it amusing that the "right wing" is always blaming the "left wing" and vica versa. The arguments are always so petty it never fails to make me laugh. They are just flip sides of the same coin...Republican, Democrat...same shit. I don't understand how you can consider yourselves a free country when you only have 2 choices for government..and both are corrupt.

americans are smart enough to figure out that voting for the 3rd party is a waste of a vote and fucks up the process.....at least at the national level. how do you think we got stuck with clinton? ross perot killed the republicans....thats why he hasn't run since. and this free country has a multiparty system.

republican'ts support big brother via industry/private sector (work drug testing, public support of private schools)

democracks support big brother via big gov't (imagine your paycheck after you pay 70% taxes. at least health care is free, but you gotta wait a month or two to see the doc..wait, why not move to canada? eh?)

drug decriminalization is not a liberal/conservative/repub/dem issue, both have their "good guys" and "bad guys". if yer into that join the libertarians like me!

most parties are power seeking control freaks....you have to be to want to get in that bizness.

isn't ironic that libertarians are considered conservative?
and "liberals" want to take *your* money via taxes...sometimes just to steer public behavior?

i read recently read about how unfairly beer is taxed relative to other products including spirits. your probably paying $1-$3 more a 6pack than you would if it were any other product, cept tabacco. all in an effort to prevent bums from getting drunk!

thats them christian conservatives....the hardcore. and there is much discontent among the repubs regarding those issues. its just the repubs might lose a large and loyal voting base should they turn their backs. bush #1 is in fact pro-choice, but had to change his stance in order to get the nomination for the party.

i don't think the demo party is nothing but tree hugging self hating humans who think we should turn the earth back to "the animals".

don't live off soundbites. they make you ignorant......im not directing that to anyone specific. just those who have misconceptions and stereotypes.

Rono, I agree. 2 party system reminds me on one party system. Actually they are same shit. Cause in 1 party systam /communism/, there are allways some streams etc.

Christian conservatives. The hardcore... I've never thought of myself as hardcore before. There is some truth in what you say though. I have two voting issues that I weigh above all others. Pro-Life and Pro-gun 2nd amendment. If there was just one candidate that had thse two positions and wanted to raise taxes to 90% running against a pro-abortion 'economic conservative' the guy wanting 90% taxes would have my vote. You've got to vote for life first. Everything else is inconsequential compared to 1,300,000 innocent children each year being murdered. There are millions like me that vote for good over evil. If the republicans change their national platform positions the life issue they will never win another presidential election. They know it too.

You are correct on both or your points. One, that ANY politician that favors a womans right to determine her own life, will NEVER win any election.
Two, that ANY politician can do whatever crooked, thieving or immoral thing; just as long as they kiss the ass of the christian moralists.

Any politician that foavors infanticide and encouraging mothers to kill their innocent children should never win public office. It speaks to the corrupt and evil nature of our society that they publically adocate genocide, yet alone run for office on it.

Take a look at the 'Republican Liberty Caucus', which is basically made up of small-l libertarians who don't want to change party affiliations. I'm a registered Libertarian personally, but I fully support the RLC.
