 Why America loves Israel

If you know anything about current affairs and international relations, then you may be asking yourself why America pledges blind support for a country guilty of crimes against humanity. This is no exageration by the way. Ariel Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel is currently on trial in Belgium for genocide for murdering 3K or so Palestinian and Lebanese civilians (mostly women and children) in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps.
Anyway, I offer 2 reasons.
1. Jews contribute more money to political campaigns in America than any other interest group. They are the most organized and effective lobby in the USA.
2. The establishment of the State of Israel fulfills the prophecy in Revelations that in the end of times, God will gather all the Jews in one place. America is very Christian and the ultra-religious who have a lot of clout in government like to believe that Jesus is coming and the apocalypse is upon us. And they are intent on fulfilling the prophecies of the bible.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

The jews probraly own more than 70% of the wealth of the west. They controlled and profited most of the whole opium trade since 1800 to 1950. When soviet's and the chinese entered the game.

I'd also venture to guess that it has something to do with the fact that Israel is the only democracy in the area.

Israel is the only secular democracy in the area. Citizens of any religion have the same basic rights, including the 20% or so that are Muslim or Christian.
All of their neighbors are dictatorships or theocracies of one type or another. Most have a centrally planned (or rather, mismanaged) economies which are limping along badly compared to Israel's successful form of free-market capitalism. Israelies also have the political freedom necessary to innovate and be successful.
This is also why Israel is hated in the area. Bitter losers hate a winner, instead of admitting that they could learn from their example.
The west managed to leave feudalism and theocracy behind, and has prospered. Until the Arab world can do so they will continue to languish, and hate us to hide their shame.
