If everyone here is lying, then how about you tell us the truth? You must know what the truth is, or else you wouldn't know we were lying, right?

I'm working on a post.. it's not something I can just explain to everyone in a small post. There are half truths in what some people have said but please remember I'm not attacking your ideas but rather the things you've read and accepted as 'truth' People actually believe what they are writing is the truth but they have usually been decieved also.

Most of the 'freemasons' people have been describing are basically the actions of a different organisation which is called the same thing.. basically there is the freemasonry you see and the freemasonry you don't see

So if there is a freemasonry you don't see, how do you have access to information about it that we don't?

It is sad that my late father could never talk to me about Freemasonry. He was not an intellectual, and aside from ego-aggrandizement and practical compassion (like raising money for children's dialysis machines), there was no esoteric side to him that I could discern. I have my grandfather's Masonic books, and my father's white lambskin apron. At the end of his life, I tried to talk to him about Eternal Life in Masonic terms of the White Lodge, but that was met with a hostile look and the impression that he believed in no post-mortem existence. Pity.

I just finished reading C.W. Leadbeater's 'Freemasonry and It's Mystic and Hidden Rites.' I will probably read Leadbeater's 'The Hidden Life of Freemasonry' when I see it somewhere. I'm more interested in 'speculative' rather than 'operative' Freemasonry. Has anyone out there ever looked at the word MASONRY and noticed the word SON ensconced in the word MA RY ? Ha! Betcha never saw THAT before!

Aside from the hokiness, Masonry has its own mythology, which is interesting. It is regarded as sinister by the Catholics (like THEY aren't truly sisnister!), and of course equally sinister by fundamentalist Christians mainly because Masons only require a belief in a Supreme Being, but not the GOD of the New Testament and Jesus. They are a prerequisite to joining the Salaam Temple. When I was 7 years old, my father took me to a lodge meeting during which young boys were shown a film about the Order of de Molay - named after Jaques de Molay - the leader of the historical Knights Templar. Seems 7 was a bit early for me to take an interest and that was the last of it. Only as an adult did I take to reading about the Templars (I am now reading 'Constantine's Sword: The Church and the Jews').

I am not a Freemason, nor a member of any organization, but I remember after getting the book 'Duncan's Ritual,' which shows all the secret hand gestures of Masons, how shocked my father was when he paid me for working for him, and I took the money with the Masonic gesture of 'receiving wages.' He looked at my uncle - also a Mason. Neither said a word of course. As an apostate Jew (one believing in the Messiahship of Jesus), it might not have been a bad thing to become a Freemason if only to create a meaningful bond with my father. The thing about psychedelics users is that the Experience often precludes any incentive to identify with any organized religion, cult or school. A Gnostic Gnowing can frequently occur sooner than a long apprenticeship in an esoteric organization, and it is even doubtful that any ritual work (psychodrama) by itself is going to result in the Fourth Way approach of psychedelics. I am in the process of conceptualizing and later constructing some ritual of my own that will enjoin some operative alchemy with some ritual that results in the Gnosis that many of us have Experienced. More of that later for those who are interested.

Well, I need symbols and I've long ago abandoned ceremonial magick as my path, but I find that I want to create ritual for the Entheogenic Excursion. It is a way of establishing 'sacred space' in the way that casting a magick circle with Holy Names around it used to work for me. We do extinguish all electric lights indoors and burn only candles, colored votives and incense, but I'm thinking of ways of regarding the actual mushrooms in a 'mycelial mass' - a sacramental act - not just down the hatch and let's go! I'm maybe gonna spring for a pricey but impressive chalice form Alchemy Gothic and keep it under my votive table (somewhat like the Hosts are displayed in Catholic Church. Regardless of one says about Catholics, they are masters of symbolism and ritual).

My grandfather was a freemason as well(Knight's Templar, to be exact). I wish he could've passed on some of that knowledge, but I was too young when he died to have understood any of it.

Do you understand the difference between evidence and speculation? There are books you could get at the library that say the Holocaust never happened, but that doesn't make it true.

You're a funny guy psilocyberin. I don't know where you got the idea that I'm extreme in any way, I'm actually very mellow and open-minded to learn new things, but I also point out bullshit when I see it.

And I use rotten because it's very concise, not because I haven't read other very long sources. I'm not going to post an entire book on here.

My friend once showed me a book titled "the cult of the Free Masons" or something like that, which went on about how OJ got off his trial because he stood like the "secret" stance of the free masons, with his feet at a 90 degree angle and his palms upwards. He was catholic, and thusly indoctrinated to believe any negativity about them. Now, i have heard from an actual free mason , that the stance is somewhat real. But, whatever.
Anyway, what i was actually going to write about was how on a peyote finding adventure, a friend and I drove to texas, new mexico arizona etc when we stopped in Roswell, NM. For some reason we went into a pawnshop and sitting in the corner, for 110$ was a 10th (not sure exactly which rank or level, but suppsoedly pretty high up) rank templar knights cutlass type sword, with amazingly detailed engravings all along the blade which told of this persons lineage and history and such. I would have bought it, because i bet it was worth more than 110 dollars, but we werent there trying to find templar knights swords. From some of the people who know a lot about free masonry, they have thought my story untrue, because someone giving up a sword like that, or selling it, would be unheard of. Anyone know much about this?

Actually, he is probably a 'Master Mason' since there is no 'priesthood' in Masonry. When he steps down, he'll still retain the title of 'Past Master.'
