I think this may be a tactic of yours, to declare "everyone notice the 3 logical debating errors in this sentence?" then never point them out. I only say that because you did it once before, with something Mix said that time too. so if you really did find some internal inconsistency with Mix's post, please define it, otherwise I ask that the sternographer strike Swami's objection from the record.

It is not a tactic and I think you give up too easily. Let's take a deeper look:

If direct transmission was required (that means it was necessary, not merely an aid), then there would have been no original master as there would have been no one to give him the direct transmission.

If the original master did NOT require such a thing, then neither do you.

Every generation builds on the next. Sure I could start training martial arts without an instructor, but instead of wasting a hundred years gaining skill A, a teacher could get me there in one year, and then I could continue adding on to the system. To gain high level in one lifetime requires direct transmission from somebody already high level.

But you already understand this. You're just intentionally misunderstanding me so you can try to get the last word in. You're like a robot sent out into space on a mission but you started malfunctioning and all you do is break down and reconstitute space rocks in the astroid belt of semantics.

Allow me to reprogram you. Your mission is to convince me that qi doesn't exist. But you've made a mistake. You've scrapped empiricism and you're convinced you can complete your task using pure reason fueled by quixotic enthusiasm.

And we all know what happens when you charge windmills, right? You run too close to the blades and you get chopped to bits. The truth is, the existence of qi isn't debatable. If you want to keep trying, I'm fine with that, but stay focused! You can talk circles around me all night, but I've got enough gravol to keep you in my sights for as long as your athletic but ageing legs can keep you on your feet.
