Boomerang result. (Link below.) If the left had condemned the violence against Kirk alongside MAGA, this wouldn't be happening. The public assassination of someone who was only exercising their freedom of speech should be a non-partisan issue, but leftists went and screwed it all up again.

It's amazing how many people are turning back to Christianity or discovering it for the first time because it's become the cultural alternative to celebrating the death of someone like Charlie Kirk. I'm immune to falling into it, but even I feel the pull for solidarity that is happening right now and sweeping across the nation.

It's amazing... how MAGA keeps growing more because the (far) left has just become so shitty and brainless on how they approach these issues and not really because MAGA has anything new to offer they haven't been preaching for years already.

Grand Junction area? My family lived in Fruita a long while before I was born. I've also spent time in the Delta area for my old sales job.

The Mormon comment made me laugh.

its crazy how obsessed racist maga is with george floyd, and how insistent you personally are in conflating the two events, the public reactions, and the aftermath.

you're an intellectually dishonest person, people can see that, and it severely undercuts your desire to change minds and be taken seriously.

You avoid a topic's subject matter like republicans avoided the covid vaccines.

Attempting to distract with some bullshit take on "it's amazing how obsessed you are about XYZ" doesn't change anything I've pointed out.

The republicans lost someone important to them, and it has generated more *global* attention that George Floyd EVER did. Despite this, nothing is going up in flames.

This is the difference between adolescence and maturity. The left is full of adolescents. The way they argue, they way they riot, they way they choose violence over debate. They mock, laugh, spit, attack, drown out, shun, ostracize, and shame. And remember, I'm no fucking republican, but you'd have to be absolutely out of your mind to not see the writing on the wall at this point.

And because that's all they learned how to do, they're finally losing to REAL power. Both mentally and physically. A damn shame they demonized their own testosterone out of their political party. They're absolutely *nothing* now. All bark without any bite.

Children.

I miss the democratic party of 2008 before things went off the rails.

How are you gauging "global attention"? Share your metric please.

I'll concede that you are correct here, in that left-wing extremism engages in far more property destruction than any other political ideology. But when it comes to violent attacks on humans? Right-wing extremism commits the majority of ideologically-motivated violence.

Since I'm sure you didn't intentionally avoid my posts subject matter, here's a link to my post that referenced a study on ideological violence: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/29342106#29342106

I obliterated his argument earlier with a thorough six point take down and the only thing he could muster in retort was restating the same thing I just logically dismantled. He appears to have an entirely undeserved opinion of himself and his abilities. It would be laughable if not for much of the MAGAs  being similarly level-capped and in sufficient numbers to exert undue influence (along with the underhanded techniques) over our political system.

I am curious as to what happened to these internet raised kids that so severely stunted their ability for discernment and the resultant susceptibility to manipulation. Do they not teach kids how to properly evaluate the validity of ideas anymore? I also wonder if gamer culture (concurrently with trolling braggadocio of social media) warped their sense of confidence and assessing their own abilities.

I will read your link this weekend, promise. A lot to take in and it's a few hours past beer o' clock... but in the meantime, I'll probably agree with you that historically (though perhaps until recently), gun violence comes from more right-wing homes.

But a lot of instances are similar to the (supposed) killer in Utah. He comes from a very conservative family, but has harbored his resentful position for a while, which at least in his case should at the very least *unaffilliate* him with republicans if not make him a left winger (those that know him seem to think so...) so there's a fascinating debate to be had about internal political affiliation relative to what they have said publicly. (A lot of Mormons, for example, hide their rebellion from their family for reasons I am happy to elaborate on from personal experience. It's extremely common. I'm sure others relate here in their own way.)

Most "republican" school shooters are rebels against their republican family and their values... what does that *really* make them, politically? Are we required to put a label on it? Maybe the labels aren't useful in their case at all...

Nevertheless, this can't absolve that republican family's teachings from *influencing* their child into this corner. It's a mixed bag of family upbringing, and rebelling into the unknown without any resources or way to survive... and then often making a deal with the first Devil that promises you more than what you currently have.

More soon.

For someone that talks so highly of their ability to "obliterate" their competition in debate, you decide to show up out of nowhere and avoid confronting me directly to instead talk about me in the third person to someone else.

Call me old-fashioned, but that's probably the most pussy-ass move one could ever make in a setting like this.

Consider the 40 second speech Morpheus gives to Neo in this clip at the beginning:

Here is a question... does Morpheus HATE his opposition? Does he think them evil? Does his heart *wish* to see them dead? Or does he forgive them for their ignorance and attempt to avoid extreme measures whenever possible against those that have simply bought into the system?

What is in your own heart about those you consider your opposition?
