It is catchy. I’m a tad too zonked to follow up with another, but that’s alright. People have made up numerous glorious fitting nicknames for our valiant & benevolent leaser. That said, I decided to make one. Itz shite cuz..idk, yolo.

flat tax or consumption tax is the way to go imo.

Problem with this is it disproportionately effects people who are living paycheck to paycheck.

People who spend all their money will have all their money taxed, while people who make extra will have their savings untaxed. This means people who earn more than what they need to live will have a lower effective tax rate than the people who can barely make ends meet.

And that problem only gets worse as an individuals wealth increases. For example a very rich person who only needs to spend 1% of their actual income would only have that 1% taxed.

Yes. Sales taxes are regressive, as are tariffs. Flat taxes largely become regressive via write-offs and carve outs the wealthy can take advantage of. It always surprises me that many people don't understand this.

We should just get rid of taxes all together and stop helping those in need, you know, for their own good.

The majority of US tax dollars are not being spent on people who need assistance.

And I bet we'd have a lot fewer anti-tax folks if tax dollars actually were used to help people who needed it.

Alas, send more billions for foreign wars, bolster the military industrial complex, send more money to the department of failing audits and spending 100x the fair market value of standard parts.

.

You mean bring minority folk out of poverty and homeless folk out of poverty, and maybe lessen the crime rate that they use to bolster laws and attacks

I think you'd be surprised

If people got paid a living wage there wouldn't be a need for tipping. People who aren't raised in a tipping culture think it's fuckin nuts cause it is.

Are you also a stooge?

That would be considered gratuity.
Like a gift is outside of all systems of payment and expectation.
“Tipping”
The effort to continue to pay people below the minimum wage. Needs to be illegalized for it to go away.
