Trump may put on a public display of eating a vegetarian meal in India or he may not. If he wants beef he'll have no problem getting it. Vivek, my office mate and close friend through four years of grad school told me nearly every restaurant in Bombay served beef. They just didn't call it that. Delhi is not going to be any different.

The whole sacred cow thing is religious, and like most religious prescriptions everywhere it's just something that people put on a show about following, while they actually do what they want.

That and India is overpopulated and impoverished, and beef is a very inefficient food source. But that is only an issue for the poor.

Harvey Weinstein just got convicted of two counts and is facing 5-25 years. Will Trump pardon him?  They have so much in common (although I will give Trump credit for being less ugly than Harvey), and no one can deny that Weinstein produced a lot of good movies.

Trump can't pardon him.  He wasn't charged under federal law.

I live with an Indian family and this is also how I go the story - beef is readily available in India to those who want it. But this CNN piece goes beyond incorrect - it is a pathetic petty malicious hit piece based on mind reading and speculation. The head of the most poweful nation in the World is visiting the leader of the Worlds largest democracy and CNN focus on taking cheap jabs at both based on their preferred diet?

man i am really glad you see that. i rarely look at news but everytime ive seen him on video from last couple years its very obvious to me that he is ill, too. havnt heard anyone point that out yet. i wasnt sure its dementia but once you say that it sounds about right. i thought maybe he has an auto immune disorder or something but then thats what some familys members died recently had. mind and body shut down over years pretty sad stuff. do not want to get that old

Sometimes I think there's a type of mental illness that causes people to see everything as mental illness. Are auto immune disorders diagnosed verbally? I'm always amazed at how quick people are to assign mental illness type labels on others.

Trump has requested that Justices Ginsburg and Sotomayor recuse themselves from all cases involving himself and the White House because of liberal bias, and probably cause they're chicks. He should just come out and say it. His real request is for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to just die already. But since we just learned he only eats steak, burgers and meatloaf, he might die first.
