Breeg89 I would definitely give it a shot though. From the looks of it Neosporen had good success with the LC's.

I wonder how these would fare in NY, we have pretty short Autumns some years but others the snow doesn't come until late November

Strawberries and grass. 
Any other foliage or flora you recommend to plant in the fruiting area?
What kind of trees do you recommend overhead? It seems like deciduous is preferable. I think I've read that evergreen needles can be detrimental, though I've seen plenty of woodlovers sprouting from amongst them.
What % of the sky do you figure should be visible through the canopy for ideal conditions?
It seems that ~30% is quite nice. It allows indirect sunlight yet provides shade and coolness to help maintain moisture.
