Wow! Super impressive. I have some petri dishes of azure as well as cyan that I al just getting started. What area were you in and what time of year did you start the outdoor patch? Cheers!

Oops sorry just saw PNW in the title. Im on Central Oregon Coast, and was considering just spreading colonized grain onto dune grasses, as well as making some patches similar to yours.

kinda late in the season to only be on agar.. Use a high grain/sub spawn ratio and you should see some action if it happens soon. They'll need 3-4months to grow before you can expect fruits from what I've seen. GL

Watching this.
I'm growing some ovoid LC now, which I was planning to spray around some ideal looking habitats. Now I'm second guessing this plan. Thinking maybe I should use the LC to inoculate rye or WBS jars first and then spread the grains.
Nice work dude.

In your opinion, what would be the ideal time of year to be on each stage for fruits the first fall? Agar, LC/LI, colonized wood chips, spawn?
Do you think your supersoaker LC idea was a worthwhile endeavor or would you recommend sticking with spreading colonized solids?

Stick to the solids personally. I haven't really had success with LC strait to wood like NeoSporen and his youtube videos yet..
I would start things in winter so you can spawn things once you know the frost is over. Longer colonization is better than trying to rush things.

Just want to second what liloldme said. I have tried lc 2 years in a row in large amounts and have had very limited success. I have used several different psilocybe strains and they were all clean lc's . Probably 10% success rate. My success rate is much higher than that with colonized spawn and pasty plates. I would say 80% to 90%. And this is outside spawning. Don't waste your time with LC's outside.

Were you guys using standard karo LC? I've got some ovoids colononizing some NeoSporen-esque wood LC. I'll give it a shot at least.

I tried the neosporen's woodsauce Lc the 2nd year the first year I think it was karo LC. I used the woodsauce in agar as well. It semed to colonize slower than simple sugars. But I didn't mess with it alot. It couuld have been that the ratio's were off. It is what woodlovers ultimately want. But then again woodlovers will chew through oats or wbs in a jar much faster than they will chew through wood chips. Although I don't think they will fruit without lignin.
