Psilocybe cyanescens

is it possible to grow these on a normal substrate of vermiculite, brownrice flour and water, or is it necessary to use (straw originating) dung? cause i have the Psilocybe cyanescens syringe and no dung in sight (well maybe, i live near a horse racing course, but i don't think i'd try braking in and stealing shit- that is if they fee them the right stuff anyway). basically, is there a relativly easier way to cultivate Psilocybe cyanescens, cause i want to try them, but am still starting off on cultivating in general.

If what you're REALLY talking about is Panaeolus cyanescens, not Psilocybe cy..... then yes, it can be grown on rice, then cased, and it will fruit, just not as well as on dung.
If you ARE talking about Ps. cyanescens, then I would give it a miss until you become a bit more experienced.

No and no. Psilocybe cyanescens don't fruit on straw or dung or flour. They are a wood loving species. also it takes temps below 50 to make them fruit. Click here for more info on growing them

You can grow the mycellium using any jar tek but then it has to be transplanted into an outdoor plot. It's a challenge for an experienced cultivator but once you get a plot established, all you have to do is add more alder chips each year for great crops.
