Looking amazing! I'll be trying something similar on a smaller scale in my backyard. Currently brewing some LC. Fingers crossed it can take hold for a 2017 season.

I would colonize grain with your LC then spawn that to wood chips. I have yet to see any action where I only sprays LC on wood.

Interesting, did you spray LC on wood chips or logs? I read a thread on spraying LC directly to chips with success. The strain I found is growing naturally about 5 blocks from my back yard here in SF so I figured it could fend for itself

This is the thread I'm referring to.
I'll take your word for it though. Seems like the easiest was to ensure success is to spawn on grain and move it to a chip bed outside.

I love that thread! It could still happen where I sprayed LC.. To early to say it was a bust for me or not. 3/4 of my patches aren't fruiting yet, only where I watered and laid down a casing layer of peatmoss. They need another week or two for the pins to set in where it was drier now that we have this rain.

Looking forward to seeing how it shapes up!

When you made your large bins of spawn, did you just place some grain spawn into wood soaked chips it and water occasionally? Lid on or off?
I'm currently making some grain spawn and would like to inoculate larger bins for my back yard. Just trying to get a feel for how you did it, so I can copy your methods!

yes, colonized grain to soak woodchips, no lid just a piece of cardboard over the top.

I have gone around doing the neosporen lc in water bottles. About 10 cc's in each 20 ounce water bottle. I have done this the last two springs. I have had limited sucess. I would say about 1 out of 10 spots took off. To much work in my opinion. I have had real good sucesss spawing pasty plates straight to wood chips. Pasty plates are easy and cheap. I start them out in gallon zip loc bags. Poke holes in the bottom so water can drain. Then leave the top cracked to keep in humidity. Leave out side all year mist and add more chips as needed Ime you will have much better success putting colonized chips in outdoor beds than lc.
Liloldme no disrespect on the hijack will delete if u want? just thought i would add my experience.

Here are some Ps ovoids I started this spring.
I think I used 2-3 pasty plates. Now when i want to spawn this bag I can take a handful out and start another bag.

Are you doing that with no pasteurization or sterilization? Just leaving the tops open and adding moisture as needed?
