Man defies explanation, observed, no food/water 10 days
    #2136299 - 11/25/03 11:58 PM (13 years, 18 days ago)

This is similiar to this post I made some time ago.

This guy claims he hasn't eaten or drunk anything for decades. While I find it EXTREMLEY difficult to believe, he has stunned the doctors who brought him in and studied him. He went for 10 days with no food or water.

I find this extremely puzzling:

"...that despite no water entering his body, urine nonetheless appeared to form in his bladder - only to be re-absorbed by the bladder walls."

I thought I have heard of stories of bladders being used as water storage like canteens. Aren't they an impervious barrier to fluid?

Thoughts?

A bear's bladder is able to re-absorb water from the urine. It uses this ability in order to hybernate, as it won't be drinking anything for the duration of its hibernation.

As for humans...no idea :smirk:

Like a splinter in your mind...
Driving you mad.

Would be quite an evolutionary enhancement...

I've heard about these people... apparently they need the sun to sustain themselves.

I wonder if you could pay a plastic surgeon to cut a hole in your palette. You'd save so much money on liquids.
