My bass guitar has a soul. I gave it one. It has just as much right to Heaven as me or anyone else does.

I think the original post was making a point about forming
nations in the "name of God" - a God who likes to
destroy and torture those who "do not follow his ways".
This God is neither heard or seen, yet we follow what
another person has to say about him due to our own fear
- i.e. that if we don't follow, we too will be one of
those who are not "following his ways" and condemned to
perish...

I have a sneaky suspicion that a person who's TRUELY experienced
God would have NO desire to prove one's faith... and would
probably not be on this message board right now...
