XD well, in that case, I'm quite satisfied the Human Condition is as it is.

What are we?

As far as we know we are biological organisms much like a pig or a chicken.

Can pigs and chickens transcend themselves with thought?

Can you fly in the real world without a plane or lay an egg?
And as far as you know, nobody has transcended themselves.

Doesn't it intrigue you that you can enter certain states of consciousness where you could actually turn into a chicken, lay an egg and fly through the sky? The experience is a real experience in every sense. What we can experience is only limited to our imagination. It seems to me like this is a trait that most animals do not have.

So? Other animals have traits that few or no other animals have.  And it's really not known if other animals have imagination. I'm guessing that certain primates besides man does.

They roll around in mud all day, eat, reproduce, and aren't aware they're going to die, Oh! and they taste delicious. I think piggies got it pretty good  :flyingpig:

Not the piggies chained down in factories. Dogs in loving families seem to have it the best, although I can see how they may envy the life of a wolf or something.

But to the degree man has? Most other animal traits do not offer this window to the transcendental. For that reason I say we are different from most other creatures on this planet.

I wish humans didn't wish things weren't true about the human condition.

First off you wouldn't know. Second it's likely not true for humans either. If it was it would be common among all humans like flight is for a bird.

It seems our environment and conditioning, and for humans our culture, play a huge part in the utility of seemingly natural abilities.

Is it common for this bird to fly?

I feel like some of us have already experienced enough suffering to provide a context for future happiness... no need to have any more.

I've heard from more than one source that the human experience (physical reality) is one of the hardest, scariest teachings this Universe has to offer. I think we are learning something very profound from being here.

We?

Thats a dream you know.

What about the 20 000 kids that died of starvation today? What did they learn?

No seriously.

What?
