Have you ever noticed ...
    #3512833 -

That some folks take religion so far as to be similar to addiction of hard drugs like heroine , cocaine , etc......?
Some may even go thru a type of withdrawl if cut off from it . :crazy2:

Especially those that just got out of jail .
Just a thought that I felt needed some tossing around !

I think it serves best to notice what one is doing oneself.

though I have noticed (barely) what you are saying, I prefer to stay focussed in my own play pen so as, at least, to be a good example to my kids.

No, but I've noticed how much religion gets picked on.

I have never seen anyone how just got out of jail and got crazy for religion. But I have seen many who were going to jail or in jail do this. Besides it is when people are at there last end of the rope they reach out. Just as Jesus reached out to the worst people. These are the people that are able to just let go of what they can not believe and grab onto the unseen. Then the unseen is made seen.

The reason why people get so addicted to hard drugs is because it is a very hard and pleasurable experience. Same when people have serious hard real experience with God. They just go crazy sometimes because they have never had anything like that happened. Most times these people were hardcore non-believes. So when they experience God they take it very serious. As there was nothing that would have changed there minds until God did. Imagine this was 120 years ago and some people went on and on about Radio waves and all the amazing things they could do. Well until you hear a radio wave you just would not believe it not matter what anyone said. So when you finaly got to hear Radio waves you would run around like a nut too telling everyone:grin: You can't see a radio wvae but it is still there...... So is God

I am so glad you and morrow took this for what it was worth , just an observation .
It was not in any way meant to "pick on religion" , or point my proverbial finger at others .
Just a point that the human race one way or another needs his vices whether it be drugs , love , religion , or just plain old cruelty . And some folks like to take it a little too far , turning it into an "addiction" !

Lighten up bible thumpers !

I am sorry for not including your wise opinon on the subject as "neutral" .

But I believe ... I sensed some  religious folks taking serious offence to my observance that religion is as addictive as drugs. It is sad how closed minded many of them can be .

I do "sin" cerely apologize for the bible thumper comment , it was wrong of me !
I humbly bow out , and will watch my own observances ,and how I word things in the future .

I have met many that are addicted to their religions , and not in a healthy way IMHO .
I do understand how and why those who have been incarserated fall victim to the addiction part of religion , do to the need to reform , or just plain stay out of trouble while on the inside . Usually this changes back to their norm when they get back out , is sad in most cases right back to the drugs that got them in trouble in the first place . I have noticed it mostly with those that do meth .

Yeah I agree some people take religion way to whacked and way to far. In fact many of then force feed it to others. And that is kinda sad but there intent may be right

Who the Radio wave thing relevant to this ? I was trying to put you in the "Fanatics shoes"

If this was 120 years ago and you never heard Radio sounds coming from a wooden box and someone who had was going on and on about it. ou might think they were whacked or a fanatic because they were so excited by the new experience. You might even say they were crazed to think sound can cone from a box. If if they could explain how radio waves worked and how you can hear them because you can not see them or ever heard them you wont believe it. Until you yourself hear them......... Same with people who truly experience God. Just because yo may not believe or understand does not mean that God is not real and can not be felt or heard.

I understood your point with the whole wooden box radio wave concept , I was just trying to show you my attempt at taking it light hearted .

You must not be much of a Roger Waters fan ?
In the song he talks about how the main character hears RADIOWAVES in his head !

Personally I feel I have evolved beyond the need for named religions . I understand as a whole the rest of the species I share this rock with have not , and will condem me for my beliefs and points of view !
I do respect those who choose to follow one or the other , as long as they do not as you so eloquently stated it "force feed it to me " !
Well ....... "I AM" ers are different , sick bastards !
Who are they you ask do a search on them , talk about making religion convienent , they are the masters of that ! Saint Germain worshippers .

You point is a strong one. We are in fact past the need for any one religion. As we are all on a path to God. The many religions has been Man's way to begin to understand where we are going. We are in a symbiotic evolution between Life(Man) and unseen energy(God)

It is time for all of us to see the greater picture and understand that we are all correct in many ways (Religions) but we have let our own Instincts to get in the way and this leads to much confusion

You allow for the radio example, but is there room for the possibility that the God phenomenon doesn't have an alternative explanation?

Could not this diving feeling, like the radio waves, be a product of some elaborate combination of chemistry and circuitry?
Maybe the next Guglielmo Marconi will be able to help us out.

Well it is possiable but as of today and the fact that God has performed some pretty wild stuff through me. I know that God as I understand it,him is exactly what it is.

In comparison to radio waves ..........until someone shows that radio waves are different than radiowaves there radio waves. God is God and until something else happens God is God

But is it possiable that God is all in the chems of the brain ? Sure

But not in my brain LOL

I may get cut to pieces by many of you for this comment ,but I think GOD has left the building so to say and left us to pick up where HE left off .
Why do many people in "general" have children ?
To teach and guide them to do better than us , an also to continue the species via passing on genetics of the species known as mankind ?
I feel God did the same , when He knew His existance was coming to an end He created all that we know in order to give His genetic patterns a place to thrive and evolve into ................ GOD Himself .
He created us in His image did he not ? Is not that image a Godly one ?
I for one believe I am on the path of evolution , evoloving to become GOD .

Come on  give me all you got , tell me how fkd up in the head I am for thinking such a thing . :crazy2:
