DMT/psilocybin increase detection

although repetetive of previous posts, please read carefully the following: as it has been speculated both that adding DMT to the substrate will increase the psilocybin content based on the reasoning that it is a direct intermediate, toward the end no less, in the biosynthetic pathway, and also however, that although this may hold true and is theoretically a good idea, previous scientific data based on a radiolabel incorporation study suggests that DMT is not incorporated into the organism from the substrate, whew... it seems that there needs to be a simple experiment that will test the hypothesis with as little background as possible. here is my proposition: innoculate two separate liquid cultures of the same amount/type of media with the same amount of a clone of a mushroom. to one of the jars, add a certain amount of dmt. allow the jars to colonize under exactly the same environmental conditions. when fully colonized, use the cranberry juice tek to consume. consume consume equal amounts of the two cultures several days apart (one each day). the amount should not be that which would induce a full trip, but rather just supply a noticable difference from normal. (a +, plus one, according to shuglins scale.) repeat several times, increasing gradually the amount of culture ingested, trying to reach the threshold of tripping. with this method, it should be obvious by comparison with the non-DMT culture whether the DMT containing culture is more potent by seeing if it will push you over the threshold created by the non-DMT containing culture. also, other general aspects of how the fungi grows in presence of DMT can be monitored, such as growth rate, mycellium density, etc... of course there are flaws in this method and it is still subjective, but it is the simplest, most qualitative method that i have been able to come up with. is anyone interested in attempting this experiment? comments/questions/criticism welcome gray1

Anther additional thing that might be added to the plan would be: have a friend give you the doses so you do not know which one is the DMT and which is just the regular. You should be able to pick which one is more potent if the DMT worked. Then you can have your friend try the two and see if he can tell.

This would be a great experiment for the laboratory inpaired.  I would personally like to do this, but without DMT its a little fruitless.  Any way just as a reminder to everyone, you should use a DMT salt as the freebase is not soluble in water.(duh)
