Unless you're a Muslim, there's not much I can do as my job connections are all with Halal meat markets and Islamic information centres.

A sign of prejudice there? Religion should not matter. I would work with Muslims with no problem, but they would not work with a non-Muslim? Anyone is capable work in a meat market or information center. Just curious about this.

These businesses tend to serve our Muslim community in the city; both in services and employment. There are many new Muslims that come into the community that have trouble finding work. Chillax.  :cool:

I read it. I have always tried to associate with people who were drastically different from myself to get their take on things. Variety makes life much more interesting.

Discrimination is discrimination. It doesn't matter the justification. Muslims are employed in the backward "redneck" Kentucky community I live in. One that I know teaches political science at the nearby college. Others I know of (at least 5) work in local businesses.

You just don't get it. The Muslims that come here from other countries are very, very poor. The community tends to stick together given that Muslims have a more difficult time finding employment - especially at places where they are appreciated and not taken advantage of since many speak very poor english, and have none to little education. Again, CHILL OUT, DUDE.  :heart:
