Second flush of the fifth GT (MS) cake 07/18. I like this one; it has a dreamlike look to it.

I've also prepared 3 Alacabenzi cakes and 3 Matias Romero cakes, both MS . But I have serious doubts about whether they will colonize... When you open a print and it looks like a Rorschach inkblot test—you wonder if they just squeezed the mushroom cap to make the print.

Hugs:heart:

Hillbilly caps. Does anyone else do this to fit them in the dehydrator or do y'all just smoosh the caps to keep the whole mushroom intact?

I do both.  Just depends.  However i stopped liking having  jars fulls of just caps takes up too much space.

Now days.  I just bend them. The cap snaps. a little.. allowing the tray to lay over but it dosnt come fully detached.  So ya just smash till they snap. Is my go to

2nd flush Toque harvest. No 300+ gram fruits anymore, but I love how they look, and the different phenotypes which I’ll probably miss after growing out the one I cloned from the first flush.

First Charlie Brown Caps that are now printing. I have a proper tub but its being slow.

My first experiment with gummies. I did a double decoction with 50g of dried cubensis, reduced to 1L, and then used standard Jello pouch PLUS added 8g of agar, boiled in 100ml fruit juice. Gonna see if these dehydrate well, since I hadn't seen this hack of mixing jello and agar powder. Might be a bust, snience!

Who has made Magical Fruit Leather? I came across this thread and if this works nicely this really simplifies the act of making edibles, since it removes the need to extract the actives into a tea.

His recipe mentioned it was watery, so I mixed 50g of ground cubensis, 500ml of Apple/grape juice, and 3 Tbps of apple sauce. I made one variety with apple sauce instead, but I can say that the fruit juice one seems to have a much nicer texture.

and finally, Albino Country Cock on Straw, outputting what seems to be a flush of monster mutants. They expressed themselves very uniformly on coir even though it is a mutant clone sample. Seems like the way water is present in straw will influence canopy, and maybe since straw is go big or go home, the mutant phenotypes are coming out.

Nothing special. I am using paper towel, which covers the entire top, held on by the lid to catch water droplets from the lid and stop the need to wipe the lid daily. In turn preventing trich. Usually by now I have a small spot of trich form in a spot that gets constant water dripping on it from condensation. I have changed the paper towels 3 times so far due to discoloration. I'm assuming that could be contams getting sucked in through the lower holes and sticking to the paper towel which would have been the lid. It also seems to be regulating the humidity somewhat.

Some yeti, toque f13 and some what I believe is tidal wave  the egg shaped one’s third flush for yeti and fourth for toque this is the first flush for the tidal wave and they were all spawned at the same time. The tidal wave was pinning initially but they never advanced past that stage for a while so I cased know coir and then I got these. For the other two I’ve been injecting water in the cakes until there’s a bit of water sitting and wait until it drinks it up before deciding if I give it more and the toque especially seems to benefit from it because it throws so many pins so quickly
Edit: didn’t realize how bad the phot quality was while posting
