2 year old tampanensis jar. Got impatient and wanted to spawn something and figured I could check out if this jar was still good and harvest sclerotia at the same time. These were all the obvious ones. Jar smelled good, love the smell of tamps. Put some grains from the jar to agar first and cloned the largest sclerotia as well. The rest of the jar got spawned to a couple small trays and we'll see what happens :crazy2:

wow! i daresay, hob has become the new lord of shoeboxes. Mushboy should be proud, not jealous. its like he cloned himself years ago and down to the mod tag, hob has succeeded him in all ways except the mushy curt-snark attitude that is so specific to the boy. its a very cute story anyway. . . Hob and the boy. What a legacy.

Nearly left this harvest too late:




^some who had started to be reclaimed by myc became uncharacteristically bendy for semp, whereas I find even fresh semp to be very woody/strict to the bend. More like a willingness to flex than a full bend.

And I'm noticing more and more, like a proper taproot on them- like a rooting shank- when grown from verm top as well as phatty ropes that can pull up when you pick em slow. Looks sick:










I love how they get so straight as they ripen.

Picked 'em one by one, very relaxing.



From picking like that, I could keep a lot of the big verm and just drop it back into the tub- ideally free of any big chunks of fruit- and jostle it up at the end. Because after this, I imagine it will sit for a while and gather its thoughts before putting out more fruits. This is the last run for this clone, I hope to keep it rockin for a year/coming march.
