Thanks Wedgie. This is without a doubt the longest grow for me and I believe Holy Grail is one of the fastest Zapo's right? The other one I got(Talpa) is a lot slower, can't seem to clean that one up though so might have to go back to spores at some point.

From what I have read it seems that Holy Grail( even though the name is a little vendorish) is a great variety for anybody wanting to get in to Zapo's.

I have another tray that has had a little lower humidity and not as dense pinset, and they look a little different, bigger and more wavy caps.







And then there's two other trays that was given really high humidity that also didn't have as dense pinset that got bigger fruits then the first tray, but not much wavy caps yet, but these trays  didn't pin when the one in the low humidity tub did so they might turn out like the recent grow MojaveMyc posted in this thread when they mature :strokebeard:

And I do enjoy it, mostly because of all of you awesome people, but the beers will have to wait until tomorrow evening :cryariver::crymeariver:

My youngest turned 5 on Wednesday, and tomorrow we are having the birthday party, so I got to be on my A game tomorrow, but as soon as they fall asleep I'll start with a German lager and then move on to one of the Saison's :awesomenod: Before I go to bed I'll probably end up writing some stupid shit I'll regret Sunday morning, but oh well :muppet:

Just yesterday noticed some fungus gnats in my tub, saw a few more today plus noticed a gnat maggot in the casing πŸ˜–πŸ˜–

Had the bright idea of using beef punisher tek to clear off the casing. Hopefully this works, those fuckers are like roaches.

So what ya think? Should I let it recolonize the top or recase it asap (at least a day or two)

Do you case tamps? 
I’m thinking the more dynamic environment of a casing, be it verm (horrible experience) or otherwise, really plays a major part, in my experience at least.
As opposed to the flat surface of a pseudocased cube tub.
Been using window screen to cover the holes but need to redo the fan inlet. Pretty sure that’s my problem atm

Has anyone tried adding Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis to their misting water?

Next time I get a fungus gnat infestation I'm going to add a few "Mosquito Bits" (Bti) or Isaria fumosoroseus strain FE 9901 to my mist water for a day or two and see if that stops the gnats.

Hey TCO, what's your average pinning time for zaps.

My current grow is approaching 6 weeks without any signs of pinning. Wondering if I got the temps wrong or something. :shrug:

I'll let you know next April-May. I always get a major gnat infestation when spring hits, EVERY damn time. This year it ruined 2 mexicana grows, a tamp grow, and all 3 attempts at wild Pan cambos.

Luckily, fall and winter tend to be gnat free for me. *knock on wood*

I thought the mosquito dunks sounded familiar…

Google searches and chat gpt also turn up that it is indeed effective and safe. As well as being used in commercial cultivation.
Think I might have to get some.
