I just FINALLY got everything for my lab moved into my new house and am gonna be setting up shop by the end of the week. I’m probably gonna be growing these exclusively with some pe6 due to the strength and the contam resistance. I’m excited!! I talked to Allen a while ago about getting him a sample, which I unfortunately wasn’t able to do, so once my first non molded fruit comes up im gonna send him a sample to compare to cubensis and see if this is a newly described variety. I wouldn’t be upset if it was cubensis because it would be damn near the coolest cube that anyone is growing, but I really do believe it’s some other obscure psilocybe. Maybe not even a psilocybe ??♂️ Idk
Crack or grim, if you have any samples you’d be willing to send Allen you should hit him up and get to the bottom of this because it might be a second before I get to it

Dried sample or fresh? I'll have fresh in about 3 weeks. I have dried though. What's his tag? I'll message him. Hey camera, I might have another print. If not I'm spawning more tonight. Plus they'll be the first prints made in front of my new flow.

Well I have just about every option available if he'd like to sequence it, sent him a message. 4th flush still pumping.

My next run I'm going to cut the spawn way down, I wonder if thats why I'm getting more overlay than others. Maybe giving it too much nutrients to sit around and chow on.

Sprouted a bit overnight

In other news, Alan took me up on a sequence so it looks like we'll get the definitive answer of what we're working with.

Looking forward to working with these! A friend or mine (Grim) sent me a swab or print. Will most likely be to last "normal" looking cube I will grow. So hooked on Pans at the moment. Got bored of growing "normal" cubensis so fast, only a few shoeboxes. Haven't even made a proper monotub. Guess I should tho.
What I'm trying to say is thank you Grim

I’m not sure how I missed this, but these look awesome.
Grims look like long PE I’m not surprised they’re crazy potent.
Anybody’s got prints I’m definitely interested. Got lots of cubes and pan jam prints to trade.
How come these are questionable as far as cubes or not? They look like it to me but it’d be awesome if they’re something new.

Glad to have you aboard Puduwoke and awesome job on that pan grow!
What I've seen that's different from what you normally see in a cubensis.
Super aggressive mycelium that's so fast it's contam resistant almost like oysters.
The stipes have a silky, shiny appearance.
Although they do indeed have a veil, after it breaks the fruit continues to grow to where the remnants of the veil end up halfway down the stipe.
Crazy overlay/blobby
Bruises green
Wicked potent
To those asking I currently only have one print left that I promised to Alan. Hopefully someone else will pass some around.

Mine still look like pans, more than cubes. I've taken clones of larger fruits, which look more like a cube. I know I'm gonna miss my pan looking ones then. Might take clones of both. And have one clone of each. I ended up making a bootbox last night, lots of coir and 2 quarts spawn. Trying the lower spawn ratio and without a top layer, mine didn't overlay as much without a top layer. I'll have more prints in a couple weeks. If anybody wants one, depending on what they look like I guess.

You’ve got my favorite ones so far grim especially that first flush of the clone.
Ever since somebody pointed out the gills thing with these I can’t stop looking at them on other grows to see how they attach.
It does seem to be different.
