Thanks Arkyhog, appreciate it. Truth is that out of 3 trays 2 of them went green after first flush, this one is the only survivor :cryariver:

But, I'm very excited about this Semperviva clone culture that is finally pinning, been trying for months, 3 tubs died from the heatwave and 1 stalled out to the point where the casing contaminated. Fingers crossed for this one :muppet:

current setup, got weeds in the tents so these get the window treatment.  left to right, cambo, bisporus, ttbvi.  ttbvi the only one fruiting rn

Dang your lucky my PM took about 50 days for the first flush. I had to to case with cvg a second time. What temps are you running? When I increased my temps from 72 to 78 that's when it started fruiting. I'm unsure if it was just slow or if the higher temps actually helped.

how does one 'stock up' with wood chips without them getting colonized by other fungi or actinomycetota?  Dry storage?

or just use 1/2-year old funky wood chips:
with a high spawn ratio?
fermenting wood chips to kill off competitors?

Thanks for responding, I have another box of pm colonizing now. Now that Im able to increase the temp in my dreamer setup, I can verify that temp was the issue on the sluggishness.
