Lol I made a similar mistake once. It's a mistake I'll only make once. I thought 10 minutes was enough time after spraying Lysol in a SAB to let the flammable particles dissipate and I thought it safe to use a flame. Haha what a fucking retard. I blew the glove wall side of my fish tank glove box off and the flame burst was so powerful it knocked the wind out of my chest and neck. I had burns all over my arms, chest, neck and my eyelashes burned off never to fully regrow haha! I was like fucking 17 lmfao.

I use an alcohol lamp next to the s.a.b get it red hot and put my hand back in with the tool. It's not long enough for it to cool down and get contaminated. I always do it this way and haven't really had a year issues transfers are always clean.

I personally just no longer bomb with Lysol if I'm going to flame sterilize. And vice versa if I happen to be doing work not requiring flame sterilization I might bomb. The still air of the SAB is sufficient that I find flame sterilizing inside is safe and sufficient without requiring any further spraying for air cleanliness.

Sometimes I wipe shit down as well with alcohol pads but only as an extra thing after flame sterilization or to clean injection sites etcetera.
