Lol I made a similar mistake once. It's a mistake I'll only make once. I thought 10 minutes was enough time after spraying Lysol in a SAB to let the flammable particles dissipate and I thought it safe to use a flame. Haha what a fucking retard. I blew the glove wall side of my fish tank glove box off and the flame burst was so powerful it knocked the wind out of my chest and neck. I had burns all over my arms, chest, neck and my eyelashes burned off never to fully regrow haha! I was like fucking 17 lmfao.

I personally just no longer bomb with Lysol if I'm going to flame sterilize. And vice versa if I happen to be doing work not requiring flame sterilization I might bomb. The still air of the SAB is sufficient that I find flame sterilizing inside is safe and sufficient without requiring any further spraying for air cleanliness.

Sometimes I wipe shit down as well with alcohol pads but only as an extra thing after flame sterilization or to clean injection sites etcetera.

I always spray my s.a.b so when everything settels the floor of it is damp and helps hold anything that falls out of the air so if I cause to much air movement in it it's harder to kick up anything on the bottom 🤷‍♂️

I was just wondering how mechanical I can make my movements. I mean if I had a FFU that fun is gone, so I consider it one of the only benefits of a Sab over a ffu. Makes you feel the heat! :wink:

Na but I tend to put it off, then when I do do it doesn't take as long as expected. I said do-do.

I haven't seen contam in awhile either so what I'm doing works, I get the blades cheap enough in bulk but surely if everyone else can flame their blades I should be able to.

I still use my sab a lot even with the ffu , spores clones cleaning plates are all better off in a sab
