nice! my new tubs are looking like that as well, you do a top layer or just coir? Some do seem to sprout before it's fully colonized, but it will still continue doing so!

Hoping the best for you! Careful when harvesting, You will probably need a knife, but don't go too close otherwise the coir leftover is a pain.

fahtlocs?

Fahtlocs.  Took a second to get them dialed but I typically get larger fruits than from shoes.  I’m going to be running some full sized monos soon, I miss the big flushes and grow expenses are more justifiable when I can show my partner a big pile of fresh cut shrums.

I did a top layer following Beefy Tub Tek, thanks for the harvest info and thank you again for the chance to grow these genetics!

Nice! I've got a few projects that I want to keep small coming up and I'm leaning towards this TEK as well.

Main reason I'm digging them is the small subs aren't drying out too fast.  Classic set and forget.

Fahtlocs are wonderful for so many reason, but misting them is a tedious process with all the opening/holding open/closing. When my fahtlocs start needing that much attention I like to move them into monotubs. Very helpful when I'm short on time in the mornings before work.

Edit: this works if your bag is inside the Tupperware bc you just pull your bag out and cut the top off, but if your Tupperware is inside your bag then you'd be pulling your sub out of the Tupperware and that's probably gonna break the cake

I’ve never opened or misted bag grows, I just use a syringe to poke a few clusters of holes and stick micropore over them

Im gonna highjack for a relevant question- I just spawned a ziplock, poked holes with syringe needle, but I didn't add any tape. Is that an updated mechanic or just a preference? I poked about as many holes as the Fahtloc tek suggested, but when I tried to fold the bag over, it took a while for it to release the air inside and go flat. Seemed hard to believe at the time that those holes were enough FAE, but Ill trust the process and let it ride. Moreso just curious if there's a substantial benefit to the MP tape.

I think rusty whytes are not only my favorite to grow, but my favorite to eat. It's been minute, but this bag is looking pretty good.

I was just looking at that too, think it's just the lighting and post production. In person the spores are super rusty and in the unedited pics they don't look near as purple

No I just do that because it’s very low humidity where I’m at. They definitely don’t need much to get enough air, one of the biggest problems people have when they start out is drying the surface up with too many holes.

Let my guard down a somewhere on this tub and the green goblin caught up to me. Wasn't wearing a mask when I was pressing the hell out of the substrate and pretty sure that's where he got in. Sent a couple more jars to substrate this morning wearing a mask and even added a bottle of Listerine to pre clean procedures in my mushroom kingdom.
