That makes sense, thank you.

I harvested just these two because they seemed to be slightly bruising on the caps.

Just these two fruits combined were 28 grams wet, which really surprised me.

KSSS really is hard to tell when to harvest for me. Today the caps all over have really started popping out everywhere... But none of the fruits are that marshmallow soft feel. Do KSSS not feel that way when ready? Plenty of room to grow I think?

Wasn't any more difficult than any other cube for me. I harvest when they start to sporulate. Yours have some interesting morphology. I'm guessing based on sporadic growth that there's some bacterial contam present.

I agree on the sporadic growth - the 12 quart looks better coverage relatively - but these squats look similar to the ksss ufo squats I saw in all the images when I did my research. I even read reports that sometimes they fail to sporulate at all when you get the "correct" squat morphology.

I thought they were supposed to have short, pumpkin like stems with like caps that curled in on itself when they are mature: just like those two. That is in fact why I wanted to grow them, to obtain fruits that looked like that.

I’d go with bluey x hbp given the colour/shape of those caps.

My current state of affairs with those. I had some make spores heavily, some nothing at all from the pf cakes i started with. I had 2 pre birthing pins that weighed i think 65-70 grams from two of the jars as well. Dense bastards.

Edit: should also state this is my first tub ever. With 4 more of varying sizes around it lol.

Depending on who you'd ask, I'm guessing many would say this is the opposite of cultivation. What is this you are likely asking? 7 month old golden teacher AIO bag I completely forgot about after it stopped pinning and started only making aborts. I tore the top layer off because it was genuinely gross-- extremely orange, but the lower mycelium doesn't smell funky at least! So I'm giving him a bit of water just for lols

See, this is the ghetto ass, disappointment inducing content I love right here. Even considered making a "show me anything ghetto, stupid, or desperate that youve done" thread. Ive got a fantastically stupid idea for providing more coir while top fruiting a bacterial jar - its gonna be ghetto, stupid, and ugly as sin and I cant wait for the opportunity to do it and post it here. Lmao I love this stuff.

I think that would be a great thread! Knowing some of the desperate shit I have done when poor in past, it would be funny as hell. For example, my first SAB (no longer using it thank god, converted to storage lol);
