A birdie gave me some of these dried fruits to sample. Ofc I threw down a gill, but alls I got was these scalloped ass cultures that wouldn't fruit. Fourth and final SB attempt decided to fruit. :flowers:

Can anyone tell me if my surface conditions are too wet? I never had so many dropplets on the surface, although the coir was at perfect field capacity.

Also the first flush seems to be rather disappointing (had great results on 6 shoeboxes with the same culture). Is the cake too big? (1:1 ratio 1200g spawn 1200g coir + thick casing)

Cultures can change over time, but it’s early for that tub it’ll probably fill in over the next few days.

No, third batch, so still new at this. First cakes I made I just used them as cakes and got some mushrooms but it was a lot of micromanagement. I picked them individually so the second batch I used a cheese grater and put them to coir.

I just put half the jars from the second batch to coir a couple of days ago and the rest today so I don't know the results yet.
