I found these on the big A site. Would they be good for agar work? Lid and cup are both pp5 so I'm assuming they are. What's the best tek for these? I was thinking pasty's but was also thinking about putting a filter on the side so I don't need to cover each one with foil.
Here's a link if you want to check them out on big A site. Hopefully I'm not violating any rules by posting a link, if so let me know I'll remove it.

They look really quality from the pictures, with a see through top...

the holy grails are easier to work with but the clarity is not 100%, it’s not bad tho

plus you can get 4oz ones to let the cultures grow out a little more

they are also twist top so no need to modify or use foil, just pour, pc and use

I used these (yes they're reusable), but eventually stopped because the lids are so fucking bad.  It's impossible to smoothly remove the lids with one hand, which makes most sterile work with them difficult.

I haven't seen this before. This is an MS plate for Subtropicalis. Whatever that big culture is that is growing on this plate is not subtropicalis - but the other growths are. I have seen this growth pattern on Lion's Mane before, if I recall correctly, but never anything else - the pattern is very distinctive.

Curious if any of you have seen this growth pattern before?

I plan to keep whatever it is alive and grow it out on a cake as a test just to see what on earth made its way onto this plate, while transferring the other growth out separately as well.

That's pretty interesting.. I'm also curious to see what it is.. you should make a thread that will document the results so those of us that are interested can bookmark it so we don't miss out on the conclusion.

Natalensis plate started from spores 7/11/22. I think (I hope) this plate is pinning.

Lol did you see my post 2 posts up from yours? What is growing on your plates looks just like normal Lion's Mane mycelium to my eyes. It looks very different from cubes and pans. Very unique pattern. I'm not sure if other species of fungi have a similar pattern but of the edibles I have grown, none look like Lion's Mane on an agar plate.

Yeah search for "Lion's mane agar" or "Hericium erinaceus agar" and you should see a lot of plates that look like yours.

Here is one I found https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25028252#25028252

I would post my own pics but I don't seem to have any taken from back when I grew it. But yes it did look just like yours. It's very trippy. It often stalls out on agar too before reaching the edge of the plate. It's ok though - still send it.
