They can literally ignore a couple house republicans because republicans have no power in the house because they lost the house in 2018 and lost it again in 2020.

House republicans are only doing this because they know it’s a purely symbolic appeal to their base, and therefore not a threat to power.

Kinda like how Kamala Harris loved the Green New Deal and Medicare For All as a fledgling presidential candidate in the Senate, but then promptly abandoned it once her apparent support for those things began to matter.
