I was going to make a comment about faith and signs and the coming Apocolypse, but then I remembered that we are not allowed to question another's beliefs as that is impolite so I will state no opinion about listening to those voices in your head nor about God's will.

A frequent tenet espoused here is that "All beliefs have equal validity". Umm, OK...

How many times have I been asked how unsubstantiated beliefs could possibly be dangerous in any way?

so now she will live in misery as she listens to crazy people who think they are chickens... locked away, in a blank lifeless world, where she can no longer harm another person by her "unsubstantiated beliefs" :wink:. Which is a good thing i think. Well if she isnt crazy.. and was just lying. Maybe shes stuck in her own hell  :confused:. Good point  :wink:

very good point swami as this is one of the many dangers you reffered to.

now referring to all beliefs have the same validity, I don't know if I've seen to much about that said on this boad. I've seen respect most people's beliefs, but nothing about how VALID the belief is. Saying a belief is valid in ANY way is nonsense, isn't it?

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Well that makes it just as wrong. I would burn in hell for my children. Is there anybody who would say different. The woman was crazy or really really just didn't give a shit about her kids. If god did tell you to do it you should be questioning god not yourself.

Now I'm only playing Devil's Advocate here because spiritually I'm in Limbo:

If you believe in the existence of God, and are a follower as this woman is, then why doesn't she listen to his teachings. God asked us to love thy neighbour he wouldn't ask any of us to hurt another. She's being hipocritical. She'd been better off saying Satan made her do it!

I obviously don't know the ins and outs of this case, but that Woman is a human-being capable of making her own decisions. Killing her own children was one of them - a decision ultimately made by her.
